How North Bay and Area picks candidates
Scores of 50 or more enter a pool. Each month the highest scores go to the Community Recommendation Committee; up to 25 recommendations per intake. Ties go to the earliest submission.

What North Bay and Area asks for
- Pay at or above Job Bank’s wage for the occupation in the North Eastern region.
- Employer limits: up to 5 recommendations a year in health care, up to 3 in other sectors.
- Not eligible: fast food and retail jobs, including convenience stores and gas stations.
- Visitors aren’t eligible. The intent-to-reside statement must be written without AI tools.
- A recommendation is valid 6 months and can’t be issued twice to the same candidate.
